The holiday cottages are about 2 miles from Dolgellau in Snowdonia, North Wales.
Janet and Adam are both keen fell runners, and can provide information on walks or runs to suit all abilities. You are also able to bring your horse on holiday with you - please contact Janet for more information. The holiday cottages are an ideal location from which to explore the many attractions of North Wales, including the coast and Snowdonia. Just some of the local tourist attractions are listed below.
Activities to be enjoyed include walking and climbing in Snowdonia, and mountain biking at the world renowned Coed Y Brenin mountain bike centre (cycle storage is available at the cottage). There are also other activities available including horse riding and watersports including whitewater rafting and canoeing. Birdwatchers can visit the local RSPB reserve at the Mawddach Estuary. There are a number of shops in the town of Dolgellau and 3 supermarkets, Somerfield, Co-op and Spar. There is a butcher and fruit shop in the square and a bakery and deli. There is a W.I market in the Free Library on a Thursday morning starting at 9.30. There are plenty of places to eat in Dolgellau with prices to suit all pockets. |
